Smiling. Laughing. Finding joy. That’s not what I might have expected from Handcuffed By Destiny, given the subject matter. But I did. I absolutely felt the hurt, sadness and fear that this couple experienced (thanks to Ms. King’s vivid and emotional storytelling), yet still, I left this book happier than when I started, and hopeful that, thanks to some new secondary characters, this seri…es is far from over. If this one was awesome, and they keep getting better—really, is it any wonder I want more?! ~ Beth, Give Me Books 5 stars
To say I’ve been (im)patiently waiting for Bran and Destiny’s story in the fabulous Crawley Creek series is an understatement! The human trafficking story line that’s interwoven between the series continues to keep me guessing at every turn. I love Lori King! Honestly, just when I think her books can’t get any better…Handcuffed by Destiny. (Though I would have loved to see some handcuffs involved, *wink*) I positively love this series, the Crawley Creek gang have earned a fond place in my heart.Watching Brandon “Bran ” Bowers and Destiny Warren find their HEA’s was truly heartwarming. Lori is truly a master at her craft when it comes to writing romance. Her sex scenes are so hot they heat up my e-reader.
Sheriff Brandon Bowers finds 3 bodies in the basement of a farmhouse, and one of the badly beaten and bloody bodies is still breathing. Destiny Warren has Bran to thank for his dogged persistence in saving her life.
9 months later, she’s still hiding herself away in her bedroom at Crawley Creek ranch, avoiding everyone, then Bran finally makes his move. But someone is still out there from her human trafficking nightmare. Can Bran protect her? Buy Handcuffed by Destiny and find out!!!

This is book 6 in the Crawley Creek series. What's hotter than a cowboy? A cowboy who happens to be a hot sexy sheriff.
Sheriff Brandon 'Bran' Bowers, has been trying to protect Destiny since the first day he met her, barely clinging to life. Destiny has been beaten, and violently abused at the hands of a sex trafficking ring leader. Staying at the Crawley Creek Ranch, she's finally starting to heal both physically and emotionally. Bran wants to help her heal her heart, but he didn't expect her to heal his too.
Destiny has survived brutal treatment at the hands of human traffickers. After Bran finds her almost dead, he feels responsible for her and keeps an eye on her during her recovery. I loved this book and how patient and gentle he was with her. He didn't pressure her while dating her and slowly they become more involved with each other. Sometimes it was hard to read and I would have to put the book down and regroup, BUT, this is part of the story and it needs to be told. They are together at the end but the ending leaves you wanting the next book really bad. Can't wait to read it!!!

This is the best book in the Crawley Creek series and one of the best from Lori!
It’s a story of horrendous circumstances for Destiny Warren; her life is a constant battle to overcome her fears and PTSD.
It’s also the story of her rescuer, Sheriff Brandon Bowers and his need to love and protect Destiny.
Lori takes these 2 amazing characters and lets us see into their very hearts and souls. From Bran’s kind and gentle spirit to his alpha needs and Destiny’s determination to become whole again and her belief in Bran and in ‘them’. Their ability to belong to one another, to heal each other is a wonder to behold.
Lori King’s Crawley Creek gang is awesome and this addition to the series will have you emotional from the very beginning. There is compassion, heart-wrenching struggles, patience, love, healing and so much more. Add in suspense and some twists and turns and you’ll be begging for more.
Awesome job Lori! So very well done. Waiting not-so-patiently for the next book.
Wow lori King has this great series I have read them all and she puts such strong emotion into her books Destiny is broken and trying to piece herself back together while living on the Crawley Creek ranch and with the help of Jeanette Hall a psychiatrist on the ranch .Brandon Bowers is the Sheriff and trying to help keep her safe and has fallen in love with her .. This book made me cry and it also made me laugh so go on the journey that Bran and Destiny take to be together ..I love this book and can't wait for the next one.
Loved it! Lori King does it again! Bran and Destiny's story takes us back to Crawley Creek with more suspense and cowboy loving. I love how understanding Bran is and how he helps Destiny overcome all of the traumatic things she has endured. Can't wait for more from Crawley Creek!
What an awesome book! I read it straight through. Lori King takes us back to the Crawley Creek Ranch where it seems everyone there has been "broken" at some time and is healing. Bran wants to give Destiny time to heal from her recent experiences but does she really need time or just him to help her recover? And is she really safe even now? There are still some unexpected twists and turns that you will not see coming. I just don't have the words for how this book made me feel. I loved it and definitely recommend Lori King books. I haven't read one that I haven't liked yet?
Wow! Amazing! Lori King has hit yet another one out of the park. I think this is the best Crawley Creek book yet. Bran and Destiny's story made me want to crawl into the book and be a actual part of this ranch. How I would love to be a part of this ragamuffin family. The Cowboy loving and loyalty, Family protecting family. Helping each other overcome a traumatic event and that event causing them to draw even closer. But darn Lori for ending it and just the right point to make you not be able to stand it till the next book comes out.
Lori has a way with words that will cause you to re-read this books multiple times! I know I sure have with ALL her books. THANK YOU Lori for creating such a wonderful series!
